Ingredients
2 lb beef round steak
1 medium julienned green pepper
1 medium sliced onion
14 oz can vegetable broth
1 envelope italian dressing mix
1 large loaf french bread
6 slices provolone cheese
Directions
Spray crock pot with cooking spray. Cut meat into strips, place in slow cooker.
Add green pepper, onion, broth, and dressing mix.
Cover and cook on low 7-8 hours or high 3-4 hours.
Spoon meat mixture into bread, top with a slice of cheese.
Variations
If desired, toast bread in a 375° oven for 5-10 minutes, add meat, cover with cheese, then bake an additional 5 minutes to melt cheese.
Shredded cheese can be used for easier melting.
