Ingredients
Sauce as follows:
2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp Water
1 1/2 tsp Toasted sesame oil
2 1/4 tsp brown sugar
2 1/4 tsp rice vinegar
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (1 inch) piece of ginger, fresh
2 Tbsp sesame seeds
1 Tsp cornstarch
Chicken:
1 egg
2 Tbsp cornstarch
1/16 tsp black pepper
1/16 tsp salt
1 lb boneless chicken
2 Tbsp vegetable oil for frying
Rice - jasmine is best - 4 cups
2 whole green onions, chopped
Directions
Sauce: Stir together all ingredients including soy sauce, water, oil, rice vinegar, brown sugar, cornstarch, garlic, ginger, seasame seeds
Chicken: Whisk together egg, cornstarch, salt and pepper. Add in chicken cut into 1 inch pieces
Heat vegetable oil in skillet until hot (should look wavy on surface). When hot, add chicken and egg mixture. Cook 7- 10 minutes until chicken is golden brown, stirring occasionally.
Pour sauce over chicken, toss together and allow to heat up. Sauce will thicken. Remove from heat when sauce is thickened.
Serve over cooked rice with green onions sprinkled on top.
